Role Overview:
I am currently looking for a talented Structural Engineer with over 5 years of industry experience to join a thriving Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional eager to enhance their skills within a dynamic and supportive setting. You will work on a diverse range of exciting projects, from restoring Grade I* listed buildings to developing modern constructions, all from a spacious, open-plan studio in the heart of London.
Key Responsibilities for this Structural Engineer role include:
* Contribute actively to various projects, including historical refurbishments and contemporary new builds.
* Develop high-quality design solutions and effectively communicate these ideas to clients, architects, and contractors.
* Collaborate confidently with colleagues, clients, and architects to ensure effective teamwork.
* Manage workloads efficiently and meet project deadlines.
* Take on greater responsibilities within a smaller team environment.
* Assist in identifying new business opportunities.
* Advocate for projects by striving to exceed expectations and clearly communicate technical outputs to clients and design teams.
Qualifications and Skills for this Senior Structural Engineer:
* Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* At least 3 years of relevant structural engineering experience.
* Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD.
* Strong understanding of engineering theory, conceptual design, and 3D modelling.
* Practical knowledge of design codes, particularly Eurocode.
* Familiarity with structural detailing.
* A strong commitment to professional growth and learning in structural engineering.
* Ability to take on responsibilities and work independently as well as part of a team.
