My client, a successful Multidisciplinary Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in London. is seeking a talented Structural Engineer to join their team. My client specialises in delivering innovative and sustainable structural engineering solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
It is essential for the Structural Engineer to have a professional and commercial viewpoint through having the following:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
* Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience in structural engineering.
* Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Tekla, AutoCAD, and other engineering tools.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
* Desire to work towards professional accreditation (e.g., ICE, IStructE).
Duties and responsibilities for this Structural Engineer include:
* Perform structural analysis and design for steel, concrete, timber, and masonry structures in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
* Prepare detailed engineering calculations, sketches, and reports.
* Assist in producing high-quality technical drawings and specifications using software such as AutoCAD, Tekla, or Revit.
* Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to develop efficient design solutions.
* Conduct site visits, inspections, and assessments to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
* Support project management activities, including preparation of schedules, budgets, and project documentation.
* Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices.
