Job title     Support Worker

Location    Carlisle

Pay            £13.00 per hour on weekdays, £14.00 at the weekends.

Hours        Full or part time available.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for the role of a Support Worker in the Carlisle area.

This is an excellent opportunity to join our team looking after a young man living with cerebral palsy and brain injury.

We are searching for an experienced Support Worker who shares our belief that disability is not a barrier and doesn’t have to stop anyone from living their best life and enjoying new and varied experiences. Please note that full driving license is required for this role.

Client and Role:

- The client is a non-verbal young male with complex needs, living with cerebral palsy.

- Complex care support – including peg feeding, moving & handling, medication administration and personal care

- We are looking for workers who are playful, engaging and establish a bond with the client.

- Activities in the community, swimming, music therapy, taking the client out for walks activities in the home – following sensory integration and physio programmes.

 

Successful Applicant:

- Must be able to drive - a company vehicle will be provided during work hours.

- Previous experience of 6 months in care is essential – training will be provided.

- Able to work unsociable hours (evenings, nights, and weekends).

- Experience working with clients living with brain injuries is desirable.

- Personal care is involved.
