Are you passionate about supporting students' learning and eager to build your career in the education and training sector? Academics, a leading recruitment agency, is working with a secondary school in Sheffield to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant for a permanent role.

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide essential classroom support, helping students across various subjects. You'll be working closely with teachers to assist in lesson delivery, provide one-on-one support, and create a positive learning environment. The position is permanent, with an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide one-to-one and group support to students, fostering their engagement and progress

* Assist classroom teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and delivery

* Support students with additional learning needs in collaboration with the SEN team

* Help maintain a supportive and inclusive classroom environment

* Assist with extracurricular activities and school events as required

Requirements:

* Level 3 qualification (Teaching Assistant, Childcare, or equivalent)

* Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar role in the education and training sector

* Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and within a team

* Experience using school systems like SIMS would be an advantage

* A passion for helping students achieve their full potential

* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)

* Able to travel to and work in secondary schools across Sheffield
