We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting students' learning and development, helping to ensure that every student has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Job Summary:

The Teaching Assistant will support teachers in delivering lessons and provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students as needed. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to gain experience working in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a variety of subjects and year groups.

* Provide targeted support to students, either individually or in small groups, to help them understand lesson content and complete assigned work.

* Help manage classroom behavior in line with the school's behavior policy, ensuring a positive and orderly learning environment.

* Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and adapt resources to meet diverse learning needs.

* Assist with administrative tasks related to the role, such as preparing classroom materials, setting up equipment, and maintaining student records.

* Participate in school activities, such as trips, extracurricular programs, and events, to enhance the overall educational experience.

* Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and other staff members to support student progress and well-being.

Qualifications and Experience:

* A minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics is required.

* Previous experience in a secondary school setting or working with young people is preferred but not essential.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

* A proactive and adaptable approach to problem-solving, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

* Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting the educational development of young people.
