Job Title: Team Leader

Location: Wigan

Pay rate: £26644.80 to £27190.80

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent, 42 hours 

Shift and schedule: Weekend availability

 

Priority Recruitment are excited to present this brand-new opportunity for a Team Leader in Wigan.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a residential home for children and young people. The residents live with learning disabilities, epilepsy, and/or autism and may display some associated behaviours. 

We are searching for Team Leaders who share our belief that disability is not a barrier, and it doesn’t have to stop our residents from living their best life and enjoying new and varied experiences. Previous experience in care is essential.

 

Company and Role: 

- Residential home for Children & Young People. 

- The conditions the residents live with include a range of learning disabilities, epilepsy, and autism. 

- Many of the residents are non-verbal or have limited communication and will communicate through different methods, including picture boards, Smartbox devices and Makaton. 

- Some personal care may be involved, in addition to companionship, taking part in celebrations, events, fundraising, and other ways of interacting with the local community.

Successful Applicant: 

- Must be able to drive

- Hold a Level 3 diploma in Helath & Social Care

- Previous experience in care is essential. 

- Able to work unsociable hours (evenings, nights, and weekends).
