Planner / Senior Planner / Principal Planner

Location: Leeds

Key Responsibilities:

* Conducting research and planning appraisals to assess site development potential.

* Preparing, submitting, and managing a wide range of planning applications and appeals.

* Promoting sites through the Local Plan process with high-quality documentation (representations, Hearing Statements, Advocacy Reports).

* Providing clear, professional advice on planning matters, both verbally and in writing.

* Leading or contributing to planning projects, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.

* Developing and maintaining strong client relationships and liaising with stakeholders.

* Attending site visits, client meetings, and public consultations.

* Preparing fee proposals and tenders to support business development activities (Senior/Principal Planners).

Ideal Candidate:

* Holds a degree in a relevant subject, with eligibility for RTPI membership (working towards or chartered).

* Proven experience in town planning within a consultancy or local authority environment.

* Strong analytical, report writing, and client management skills.

* Ability to engage with stakeholders and decision-makers at all levels.

* A proactive, collaborative approach with excellent time management.

* Full UK driving license and access to a car.
