Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an independent consultancy, working on some of the most high-profile projects across the UK.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated Planner with relevant industry experience to join the team in Central London. This role will focus on infrastructure projects in areas such as energy, transport, waste, and utilities, including large-scale developments like nuclear power stations, renewable energy facilities, and airport expansions.

You'll work alongside experienced planning professionals, assisting with planning applications, development consents, appeals, and pre-application advice, while supporting local plan representations.

Key Responsibilities

* Support the delivery of various planning projects, including providing assistance to senior colleagues on advice, applications, and appeals.

* Play a role in the preparation of fee proposals and tenders.

* Assist senior colleagues with planning advice across disciplines.

* Produce accurate, timely research and reports.

* Interpret legislation, policy, and other materials to inform planning strategies.

What We're Looking For

* Degree or higher in a relevant field, RTPI membership eligibility required.

* Experience across a wide range of planning matters, ideally within consultancy.

* Strong commercial awareness and sound judgment.

* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

* Positive attitude and a collaborative team player.

* Professionalism in all internal and external interactions.
