Job Title: Town Planner
Location: Glasgow, Scotland

Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting an experienced Town Planner or Planning Manager to join a successful and growing Land and Planning Team in the West of Scotland. What You will Be Doing:
You will be part of a small but busy team handling a variety of planning applications, from large-scale developments to smaller, complex projects. This role offers broad exposure across all areas of the planning process-from planning policy and development management to site delivery-allowing you to take ownership and lead on significant projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce planning assessments for new site appraisals
* Lead planning applications from Outline/Full to Reserved Matters and discharge planning conditions
* Oversee master planning and collaborate with layout designers, engineers, and consultants
* Prepare planning statements and various technical documents to support applications
* Organise and attend stakeholder/public consultations
* Provide responses to emerging local and national planning policy
* Support senior management with business decisions and represent planning expertise in meetings
* Mentor and train junior team members
What We Need from You:
* Previous experience in development management or development planning (Local Authority, Planning Consultancy, or Housebuilder/Developer)
* Degree or Master's in Planning with RTPI accreditation
* Strong communication skills and ability to work under pressure
* Proactive, with a willingness to lead on your own initiative
* Full UK driving licence
