Waking Night Shift Support Worker

This role is ideal if you have support work, care or SEN experience and, would like to work night shifts.

A specialist school are actively looking for an enthusiastic Waking Night Shift Support Worker to assist children with complex SEN needs within their residential setting. This setting is in Bexhill-On-Sea and, caters for the ages of 5 to 19 and, those with physical/medical and, personal care needs. They are proud to say that they are a total communication enviroment. This ensures all students can make their wishes known and, staff with respond in the best communication style that suits them.

The main aim for this school is to provide the integrated support they need to encourage pupils to achieve their potential and, take their place in the community, confidently and, independtly.

Responsibilities of a Waking Night Shift Support Worker:

* Maintain health and safety Requirements and, follow care and, support plans.

* Conduct regular checks and, maintain a secure enviroment for the residents.

* Ensure personal care for all residents, maintaining hygeine and cleanliness.

* Carry out domestic tasks.

* Administering medication to individuals following their treatment plan, to maintain stability of their health.

* Keep documents and, medical files up to date.

* Perform night time routine with the residents.

* Reporting health or behavioural concerns regarding the individuals they support.

Requirments of a Waking Night Shift Support Worker:

* Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care or Equivalent

* Desire to work with children with special educational needs.

* Adaptable and pro-active approach.

* Patience, empathy, and, a positive attitude.
